Below is a guest post by one of my friend Maria, whose son has just got married. She talks about weight loss before the wedding of her son and I think this can also be useful for all the brides and grooms who want to lose a few pounds before the big day!

Losing weight before the wedding is something that every bride and groom dreams of accomplishing before the big date. For the bride, looking radiant and flawless in her wedding gown is something that will be remembered for many years to come. The groom would want to look younger and leaner on the day he becomes a husband. Looking fit and fabulous before your wedding is certainly not last on your long list.

However, the events leading up to the wedding day are not entirely ideal for any soon-to-be couple to get slimmed down. With all the late night parties, heavy dinners, and all- girls’ brunches, it is not surprising for any couple to tip the scales with a few excess pounds.

Losing weight before the wedding is something that also became my dilemma seeing that my son was soon to be wed, and I still was not able to fit into a decent dress. I realized after a month that I could not waste any more time if I want to lose the excess pounds. That was the time when I thought that this was how every bride must have felt during her wedding day, trying to look good for a very important event. Even when I was merely the groom’s mother, I already felt an immense amount of pressure.

I wanted to find a dress that fits and feels good. By February, I was already doing something for my losing weight before the wedding goal. However the day of hearts was not very helpful in my attempts. After a month, by March something providential came along, and this program helped me reduce my dress size.

Before I found this program, the marrying couple feared that I might not be able to grace the pictures in my beautiful dress. In contrast, the mother of bride already had an outfit planned out for months beforehand. However, my slimming efforts began to take shape slowly. I was feeling more confident, and more dresses fitted me greatly. Finally, I was no longer pressured to hit the shopping malls, because I was excited in finding the perfect dress.

Fortunately for me, there were slashed down prices for many of dresses sold at the shopping store that time, and I tried on several dresses that would accentuate my new figure. Losing weight before the wedding finally made me opt for the one ensemble that I believed would look gorgeous on me. Inspired by the fact that I was able to reinvent my figure, I finally settled on a get-up that had a snug and comfortable fit. I was very fortunate enough to have found something that will enhance my confidence and my reshaped self.

The entire effort of losing the pounds worked well, and during the event, people took turns complimenting me on my new appearance and slimmer look. Guests and even close relations would ask whether I actually reduced my entire body weight. My son and his new wife were so happy with how everything turned out for me. My husband danced with a more comfortable woman. Losing weight before the wedding of my son was something I can be really proud of.
