Chinese sedan chair
Traditionally, the bride had to leave her home and go to the groom’s home on the wedding day in China. The bride would sit on the sedan chair and the groom and his relatives would bring the bride back to the groom’s home.
A modern version of sedan chair
Nowadays, we seldom use the sedan chair in weddings since the distance between the homes of the couple can be quite something. A vehicle will be needed in most cases. However, some bride may still want to try to sit on the chair and there is a modern version of the sedan chair. The sedan chair can be assembled and disassembled so that it can be brought into the lifts. Besides, there are a few wheels under the chair so that it can be moved easily.
You may also want to try the sedan chair, right? However, you may need to go to Hong Kong or other places in China to try it. Or you may consider planning your destination wedding in Hong Kong, which should be a romantic and memorable wedding.
