Discount for Bulk Order
There are sometimes clients asking me that if there is discount when the quantity of order for the invitation is larger. In fact, this is a common misconception for clients in Hong Kong. This is mainly due to the practices of other wedding invitation vendors. They will tell the clients there will be discounts when they order more. And indeed the discounts they refer to is a lower unit price.
A Simple Law of Economics
In fact we should not treat the lower unit price a discount. As a matter of fact, it is only a simple law of economics. The cost of a business is the total cost of fixed cost and variable cost. When we are printing the wedding cards, there is a fixed cost for printing, and the variable cost is the material (most probably paper). As a result the unit price will be lower when a larger quantity is ordered.

Ideas on the centerpiece
When decorating your wedding venue, you should not forget the centerpieces. Each of the tables including the reception table and head table should be decorated with a centerpiece.
You can make use of candles, mirrors or flowers to create the table centerpieces. But ideas are endless. Be creative!

Seasonal wedding decorations
Seasonal wedding decorations would make your wedding venue more special. You can make your decorations echo with your venue. For example, special arrangement of shells would be a good choice for a seaside reception. And you might use ribbons of different colors at each table and you can let your guests sit according to ribbon colors! It can make your wedding more colorful and delightful.
Do not forget to make the table centerpiece more elaborated for the head table.
Things to remember
The table centerpiece should not be too “tall” so that it would not hinder conversation among guests. It would also be a good idea to make the centerpiece the wedding favor that your guests can take it home as a memento of your wedding.

A Vintage Gown
A bride got married on 1 Sep 2007 in UK. What is special about the wedding is that the wedding gown of the bride has been used for four generations. The bride, called Charlotte Middleton, is indeed the sixth bride who wore the wedding dress. From the news website, I learned that the gown was made in Hong Kong, in 1910. You can read more about the news from http://www.dailymail.co.uk under the title “Bride is the SIXTH in her family to wear 100-year-old wedding dress”.
A Wedding Dress has its own meaning
I was talking about the advantages of choosing a vintage gown. One of the advantage is that it can possess another layer of meaning if it is also the gown your mother wore in her wedding. I found that in the case of Ms. Middleton, it is even more meaningful since it is a gown which has been used for four generations in her family. This is a real case that a gown which has its own meaning can be better than an expensive designer wedding dress. It will be even more interesting and meaninful if it can be used for another hundred years.

About this wedding
On 28 August 2007 there was a couple in KunMing, China who had their wedding in the air. They had their wedding in the air and also exchanged the wedding bands in the air. The reason for this special air wedding is that both Tie Guangju and Jiang Dezhang (the bride and the groom) are working as high-rise building cleaners for the same company.

Graphics for your wedding invitation
You may want to put some graphics in your wedding website or wedding invitation. Unless you are a illustartor yourself, it is not easy to “draw” the images in your website or invitation.
Paid or free services
In this case I will suggest you to search for some wedding cliparts. Some website will charge you a small fee (something like USD29 per month) and you can download the cliparts without any limit.
You can also find some websites which offer free wedding cliparts. Of course the quality will not be as high as the cliparts from a paid site but it will be good enough if do not want to spend any extra on wedding cliparts.
